TLC Travel Literature Culture in Italy is our 8-day adventure that combines guided writing workshops and short writing seminars, with Italian culture, literature, art, and travel for a unique and personal experience.

​Our groups are no more than 10 people.
Our speakers and guides come from around the world, and their insights and their passion will inspire you immeasurably.

From our base in Perugia, in lovely Umbria, we travel to well-known destinations, and to hidden treasures most tourists never see: mountain towns, spectacular Medieval or Renaissance gardens, hidden museums, family vineyards, mysterious archaeological sites, and more. Typical Travel/Literature/Culture daily itinerary

  • ​​We meet for coffee & croissants, a typical Italian breakfast.
  • We discuss the previous day's writing workshop or adventure.
  • We meet with our speaker or guide for the day.
  • We spend the day exploring, asking questions, cooking, eating, sailing, riding horses through vineyards, visiting Renaissance or Mannerist gardens, photographing sculpture in Rome or Caprarola... and more.
  • We write!
  • ​I.e., we experience all Italy has to offer while learning more about the written word.
In the evenings we gather together again for dinner at one of many restaurants in town. Over dinner we workshop the stories or articles everyone has written... or we just enjoy the fantastic Italian dinner experience.

Our next TLC Travel Literature Culture Adventure

​This 9-day cultural writing adventure is all-inclusive once you arrive in Rome. The fee covers all accommodation, all transportation inside Italy, all Italian breakfasts, lunches and some dinners, all workshops, and entrance fees.
